Saturday, September 24, 2011. I often hear adult beginners say, "If only I had picked up the fiddle back when I was five . . . " but not me. I have no regrets. Last night I found myself in a candle-lit garage with quilts draped across the back wall. Chairs were pushed back around the perimeter and the front was open to the cool night air. If I had started lessons back when I was a child I might have played better last night but I don't think I would have been any happier. Berea College Sound Archives.
