He was never happier than when he was sailing, which unfortunately he was not able to do for a good few years before his death. Mum has wanted the house cleaned thoroughly as Dad didn't like her doing it and would express his dislike very forcefully, so for the last couple of weekends I have been cleaning. The village is called Oradour-sur-Glane and on the 10th June 1944 the SS sealed off the village then killed 642 people, of which 205 were children the youngest being 1yr old twins. It is lovely to see her so happy at last, the new boyfriend is so good for her, they have known each other years and been good friends but nothing romantic until recently. Not many photos from Day 3 as most of the day was spent on the bike travelling, we had a lot of miles to cover this day and we did find ourselves on toll roads which are so boring for both of us, so I have added a few from day 4! Me My Camera Eye. Tuesday, 7 July 2015. Day 2 - Bike Trip. Not too many photos today. The first was taken in a place called Riano, still in the Picos mountains. Fancy having that as your back drop for your allotment! This I believe is a Bearded Vulture, this is one of two that flew off a nest that was up a rock face. It took me a little while to realise there was a chick in the nest. Not a very good photo due to noise and he was in the shade, but very happy I got it and saw him/her! 8 July 2015 at 21:40.

We left Plymouth on Sunday at 4.15pm, thank fully we had a calm crossing and a cabin so I made the effort to get up early, 6am to be precise, in order to go up to the top deck for a spot of whale and dolphin watching - or not as the case maybe - 2hrs later I gave up, cold and in need a cuppa!
