Somewhere, some corner of this world, a girl child is waiting for me to get adopted. Every day I read a news of child abuse in the schools and families, my mind immediately shifts to those in ashrams and orphanages. Are the guardians over there really a guardian? Sunday, March 22, 2015. Indian Govt is serious about child adoption. I am very glad to learn that Indian Government is taking the child adoption seriously. Union Minister Maneka Gandhi says "Adoption rate in India is shameful". She also recognizes the declining rate of adoption as the agencies are reporting lesser orphans count. Read more.
