Life as I Know It. Saturday, August 18, 2012. Vacay Day 2 and 3. San Antonio is impossible to navigate, even with a GPS. Don't bother following maps because it's always on the opposite side of where you think it is. Got locked in a hallway at the hotel with an employee for 20 minutes. Knocked on doors furiously until someone found us. Enjoyed a massage at the nicest spa and took a shower there with 4 showerheads! Got lost looking for Taco Bell. Went to Buc-ee's. Life as I Know It. Friday, April 20, 2012. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Time is going by so fast, I can't hold on enough, we'll be a family of 4 before too long. Things have been so busy this is the first chance I feel like I've gotten to breathe in so long, it's been a good restful week. We've watched movies, eaten out with friends, visited with family. Life as I Know It. I find 'About Me's' really interesting. Most people define themselves by the hats that they wear. Mommy. Wife. Occupational status. Religion. I think that's all well and good. Labels like that are easy and simple and tells your audience little. It's hard to get to know someone through their About Me. You want to get to know who they really are. What are they like? I love hanging out with her most days. Some days, she drives me crazy but she's such a good baby. Daughter.

Mar 30, 2015. Yesterday morning we had a great family adventure on the Cedar Rock Railroad. It was a picture perfect morning. In the 70s, sunny and as a Sunday, not crowded at all. Cade got to ride the train, not once, but twice! The second time I'm sure was the best because Jon, Rowan, Carys and Kiki (Jon's mom) surprised us there so the kids got to ride together. Yay friends! The real reason, the bottom line for why we’re strongly leaning toward one-and-done is actually pretty simple and I would guess it applies to many other one-and-done couples. Aug 2, 2015. Hi, hi, hi! We did it - we took our first family vacation! Both kiddos did overwhelmingly well and LOVED the beach. We built sandcastles, crashed in the waves, ran in the water and really just had a great time. He did really well. Two of the nights he slept the whole night; the other he woke up several times but didn't do anything dangerous. In fact he didn't really get out of bed. So I think our transition from crib to toddler bed may happen a little sooner. Trip to Texas State Aquarium.
