Frugal in retirement
http://poohsabode.blogspot.com/2015/01/another-no-spend-day-since-christmas-my.html
My life in Ipswich - incorporating One Step at a Time, my account of how I am slowly changing my life. Monday, 5 January 2015. Another no spend day. The decluttering is continuing and I'm quite pleased with how it's going. I have got better at getting rid of items but it's an ongoing project that will take possibly another couple of years. What I must be careful of is replacing the clutter I'm getting rid of. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hello - welcome to my blog. View my complete profile. A Spoo...

Painting New Memories: Latest makeovers on Ebay
http://painting-new-memories.blogspot.com/2012/09/latest-makeovers-on-ebay.html
Monday, 24 September 2012. Latest makeovers on Ebay. My latest makeovers include a plain rectangle side table and a set of what was 3 but is now 2 drawers. Both are wood. Here is the before photo of the side table. And here are the after ones . It has been painted with Annie Sloan chalk paint, then I applied a French graphic onto it with acrylic paint and finished it off with a couple of layers wax. Gently sanded back to achieve a worn aged look. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). More of my work. At ho...

Painting New Memories: White on white words
http://painting-new-memories.blogspot.com/2012/01/white-on-white-words.html
Saturday, 21 January 2012. White on white words. I so love words and script on anything, whether it be fabric, paintings or wallpaper I just love it. I have been experimenting with some. Bought letters and canvases, which I have had for a while now, and not known what to do with, the canvases not the letters. Well my daughter saw online some white on white letters on canvas which she loved but wasn't going to pay the reduced price of £125.00. 22 January 2012 at 15:50. And thank you. A huge thank you&...

Painting New Memories: June 2012
http://painting-new-memories.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 22 June 2012. A Cover up job.aka DECOUPAGE. I had a go at decoupage a while ago with some old Bisto containers and they were quite successful and I'm still using them now. Soooooo I decided to have another go with some tissues and serviettes I had left over of the same design. My OH is always buying me little bits and pieces he thinks I may like to paint which is how I came to have the wooden words LOVE and HOME. I love them and think they are ideally used for the kitchen table. This next project...

Cottage-Home: CK goodness...
http://cottage-home.blogspot.com/2009/02/ck-goodness.html
Friday, 27 February 2009. OOh that sounds like a cereal bar! Full of CK goodness! Anyway, I thought I would show you all what I bought in the Cath Kidston shop in York a couple of weekends ago. Be prepared to drool and dont do it on the keyboard please, very un-sightly! Hubby bought me the sewing basket which has been on my wish list forever! The paisley bag was reduced to £6! The blue cotton re-usable totes are just £2! 27 February 2009 at 14:58. 27 February 2009 at 22:14. 28 February 2009 at 09:09.
