Jo Vandeurzen reacted on 16 December 2008 by issuing a press release; Yves Leterme reacted by sending a letter to his colleague on 17 December which he read before Parliament on the same day. On the basis of the latter letter, the first judge of the country -Ghislain Londers- sent a letter on 18 and 19 December 2009 to the Parliament in which he accused the Executive of having tried to influence the judicial proceedings.
