http://virtually-engineered.blogspot.com/2009/10/damn-good-xenserver-backup-script.html
Dealing in the vSpace. Thursday, October 8, 2009. Damn Good XenServer backup script. For features we have and install script, we have install, backup, restore and create backup list. All obvious, read the script for details. All these are broken out into functions. The variables at the top can be changed to suite your environment. I have a whole document that describes everything you want to do with this from creating cron jobs and udev rules, etc. Cut and Paste here:. XenServer vmbackup v0.3. Echo "/var...

Dealing in the vSpace. Thursday, September 24, 2009. I've really ignored this blog-o-sphere since I created it back in 07. I will start using this to keep my ideas and scripts that are cool for everyones enjoyment. Not that anyone will read this. Maybe a few stopper-bys that I point over ;). Dealing in the vSpace. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. VCSA and HP Insight Control VASA Integration. I did a post on vCSA and getting it properly discovered inside of Insight Control (SIM). Now another feature I had to integrate was VASA. In case you don't know what VASA is, check your google-foo, but chances are you stumbled upon this because you are trying to get your 3PAR working with vCSA. Now the documentation gives you the steps for a Windows vCenter. Good, but what about vCSA? Click Browse to certificat...

Where has my data gone? Archive for November, 2010. Why disaster recovery should be hybrid. November 3, 2010. According to Gartner’s recent report,. I believe that disaster recovery should be hybrid. By bridging the differences between the physical and virtual worlds, an integrated backup solution can enable organisations to take maximum advantage of both, while supporting their business continuity objectives. There’s a good report on this available from IDC, just visit our website. Join 1 other follower.

CaverJS IT Notes: Hyperterminal
http://caverjsitnotes.blogspot.com/2012/03/hyperterminal.html
Friday, March 23, 2012. Believe it or not there are still times when a modem comes in handy. One case is an out-of-band connection to a remotely managed KVM switch, in this case a Raritan KSX II. Unfortunately Windows 7 no longer includes Hyperterminal, which was a very useful program for dialup connections to devices. There is an easy workaround though if you have a Windows XP machine available. Instructions are at http:/ technetphilippines.net/blogs/mafi mok/archive/2009/11/11/insta...

CaverJS IT Notes: August 2012
http://caverjsitnotes.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 9, 2012. Had a weird problem come up today about booking Outlook resources. One of our employees was not able to book resources. He did not receive the normal "resource booked successfully" note and his appointment did not show up on the resource calendar. Others were able to book the resource successfully though. Turns out that he was missing a registry key: EnableDirectBooking. Information can be found at http:/ support.microsoft.com/kb/982774. Links to this post. Hey, Scripting Guy!
