Born in England, I spent most of my life studying, working, or living abroad. As a child, British boarding school taught me to play piano, dabble in drama, and love languages, including Latin, French, and German. I even survived the distinctly unladylike sport of lacrosse! As a young adult I worked in France and Belgium for an international organization, and learned to communicate effectively in English, French and German with colleagues from around the world.
