Self-advocacy is the ability to speak-up for yourself and the things that are important to you. Self-advocacy means you are able to ask for what you need and want and tell people about your thoughts and feelings. Self-advocacy means you know your rights and responsibilities, you speak-up for your rights, and you are able to make choices and decisions that affect your life. The goal of self-advocacy is for. Up and Coming Events! We are travelling to Sheffield on the 14th May 2013 to Learning Disability Today Conference, for self advocates to gain experience of other organisations and listen to the views of others. We are holding Employment Skills Workshop's funded by Comic Relief through Two Ridings Community Fund, the next course starts 3rd June 2013 at the Coultish Centre, Selby. For more details contact. What's new!

We have been awarded by Awards for All, funds to consult with people with learning disabilities, events to be held throughout 2013. We are holding a Wine Tasting. Friday 19th April 2013. This was cancelled due to lack of support! We have just been awarded April 2013 from North Yorkshire Police's Disposal of Property Fund. 500 to produce an easy read leaflet about contacting the police. Also a thank you to Selby Town Council for their grant awared April 2013 to purchase a new printer. Back to main menu.
