India + Thailand + China: July 2005
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 27, 2005. Since that time, however, my mum has become very knowledgeable about eating a balanced diet, so much so that she is now at the other extreme; she knows too much! Testing everyone’s tolerance levels, she regularly preaches about trivial things like eating at least two different coloured vegetables per day. She has said much more but fortunately I cannot remember them! Posted by Owen Lee at 5:00 pm. Monday, July 25, 2005. They Call Me ‘Lucky Lee’. I’m not even sure if they knew wh...

India + Thailand + China: September 2005
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 19, 2005. Below is the link to photos of Magda's and my farewell party:. Initially I spent a lot of time emailing back home. Writing back home was my way of holding onto something that was familiar, and at the same time, helped me to adjust to my new surroundings. My fellow Australian trainee, James, even remarked that I had another life on the internet. I guess I pissed off my housemates as I hogged the internet so often! Posted by Owen Lee at 5:47 pm. India + Thailand + China: August 2005
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 01, 2005. The Gujarat State Government’s Gross Distortion of History. Just finished reading ‘Anne Frank- The Diary of a Young Girl’. Her diary is incredible. Forced into hiding during the Nazi occupation of Holland at just the age of thirteen, her diary recounts the grueling two years spent living in confined quarters, fear, uncertainty, and among people that at times drove her completely mad. Can you imagine this? Posted by Owen Lee at 7:45 pm. View my complete profile. Highlights and Low...

India + Thailand + China: My Traineeship (Part Two)- The Stench of Surat
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2005/06/my-traineeship-part-two-stench-of.html
Thursday, June 23, 2005. My Traineeship (Part Two)- The Stench of Surat. Since there are no foreign trainees here, I spend most of my time talking to locals or the people in my hotel dorm. As a result my Hindi has dramatically improved and I can say a few things and order a bit of food at non-English speaking restaurants. Recently I learnt a very valuable phrase, ‘milchee nahi’, which means ‘no chilli’! Posted by Owen Lee at 10:35 pm. Have a good one,. When you come back make sure you can teach me Hindu!

India + Thailand + China: April 2005
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 17, 2005. Taj Mahal- One of the Seven Wonders of the World. We stepped off the bus before dawn to be welcomed by the usual enclave of ‘friendly’ rickshaw drivers. We settled for this guy offering what, to our half-awakened minds, seemed like a fair deal. With his two rickshaws he would take the seven of us anywhere we wanted for the whole day for 400 rupees (AU$12). We ate lunch at a place recommended by the Lonely Planet then met back with our rickshaw driver. Posted by Owen Lee at 9:53 pm.

Monday, May 23, 2005. What was meant to be a three day trip ended up being four due to the ticket salesman selling us a train ticket on the wrong day, something we didn’t realise until we were on the train trying to kick ppl off seats that we believed strongly to be oursoops! Just as well he had good hands. We visited some ancient ruins with the jeep before beginning the two hour camel ride. So here’s a tip for guys thinking of going on a camel ride! Although everyone, except Dan, suffered food poisoning...

India + Thailand + China: February 2006
http://owenlee1.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 23, 2006. Four Months in Beijing and Still Here. It’s been a good few months since I updated my blog. This has partly been due to my laziness and my semi-busy state. I arrived in Beijing in mid-October last year with the intention of learning Mandarin and finding an internship in a period of four months. After that I would head over to Malaysia for three weeks for a holiday before heading home to Melbourne. Working at IBM helped to improve my speaking skills but did nothing for my writ...
