Infinity nomads - gearing up for the new rules. The best thing about playing lots of different games (or at least, having bought lots of miniatures for different games! Is the different painting challenges they present. So, after painting lots of orks relatively simply, I interspersed them with more figures for infinity, which are very detailed and require more time and effort. Still, I'm glad I persisted :). Side shot to show the poses better. And some billowing cloaks. Links to this post. The orks don'...

GOG Online: February 2015
http://agogonline.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
But not the HH kind. This is a bit of a catch up post given I got these figures years ago when we were all getting into pirate games. These figures were never painted by me and there is a chance they could see use in one of the random game systems that I keep picking up and I fancied something a bit different to paint, so here they are. I actually did some historical research for these too! And that's straight from the horses mouth too. The officer gets a natty blue coat to help his stand out. I've been ...

Et tu, Helbrute? The Burning Chalice chapter of the Word Bearers legion were some of the earliest and most keenest converts to the use of summoned daemons to possess members of the legion during the Horus Heresy. This practice has never been far from the chapters tactics through the many intervening years to the 41st millennium, even though the chapters size and power has waxed and waned over this time, making the process easier or harder. A plasma cannon from the forgefiend (thanks silverback! The most ...

GOG Online: March 2015
http://agogonline.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
As mentioned in my last post, I've got the painting bug back :). Taking my cue from Eddy's work, on his citizens, I've kept the painting pretty simple - base coats plus washes. They are now ready to be saved/terrorised on the mean streets of pulp city. Links to this post. More pre-heresy salamanders and pulp sci-fi. The painting challenge that I joined has now finished and it has been the best thing that's happened to my shelves of holding in years! Now I don't play in tournaments, there hasn't been the ...

GOG Online: Get Well Soon!
http://agogonline.blogspot.com/2015/07/get-well-soon.html
One of the Gogs is currently under the Doctor. It would be indelicate of me to discuss the nature of his current health woes so I'll just take this opportunity to wish the BFG well and hope that he has a speedy recovery. No bananas were harmed in the making of this post.well, apart from that one that was cruelly snapped in two - THE HORROR, OH THE HORROR! 17 July 2015 at 09:50. 8 September 2015 at 10:44. 10 Lighting Clawed Iron Hand Terminators finished and ready for spraying. Links to this post. I've reached that point you get to when painting a new army. The slow job of getting the infantry done. 20 Anvil Marines with bolters. 5 Anvil Marines with Autocannons. 5 Anvil Marines with Grav guns. 5 FW MKiv Marines with Heavy Volkite Culvars. 15 FW Iron Hands with bolters. I should end up with:. 6 Gorgons including the Hammerbearer. 10 Terminators with Lighting Claws. Links to this post. Well this blog has b...

Da Deff Kopta Sqwadrun. And da uvver wun. My quest for a fully painted ork army continues apace! What with having lots of boyz done, I decided it was time for some support. So out from the almost forgotten work box come some Deff Koptas. Quick and easy to paint up and I stripped down the rotors to only two blades so they are easier to store flat! Next up are the slightly crazier evil suns pilots. Same basic work, same squadron load out as the first one (i.e. The basics). Links to this post. We have taken...

GOG Online: August 2015
http://agogonline.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
It feels like these have taken an absolute age to finish. Unsurprisingly seeing as they have been sprayed, dry-brushed in three different colours, had four different colours painted on and then all thirty six panels have had individually uniquely printed transfers added. Sheesh! I really do make work for myself. Still I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I should be painting infantry but I've also got two more sets of the Spartan Scenics to do. Yup. Even more of this stuff! Links to this post. I've always...

One mean Mo' Fo'! A Terminator Marine captain for my Iron Hands. Another lovely Scibor figure. I've cleared off the detailing from the armour plates all ready for lots of nice transfers once he is painted. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). One mean Mo Fo!

GOG Online: Pre heresy Salamanders - finally
http://agogonline.blogspot.com/2015/08/pre-heresy-salamanders-finally.html
Pre heresy Salamanders - finally. Yep, it's another one of those "I haven't posted in ages, real life got in the way" blog posts that seem to be everywhere, pretty much all of the time. A combination of lost painting mojo, nothing inspiring and launching myself on a couple of large projects with no end in sight has meant that I haven't posted completed figures since March. And they were just base coat wash level bystanders. Next was a bit of housekeeping, two sargeants, made possible by the two spare cre...
