Voran Clan Adventures: Mud on the Tires

http://voranclanadventures.blogspot.com/2012/03/mud-on-tires.html

Where we've been. Where we're going. March 31, 2012. Mud on the Tires. Landing on a soft airstrip has many hazards, not to mention making a mess all over the aircraft. Mud and gravel is pulled into the prop causing substantial damage if allowed to continue. This runway is unusable for several weeks out of the year, and if you make the mistake of landing during that period, this is what happens, and no, I wasn't the pilot. How is your soft field technique? Labels: Al Gore is Still Proud. Mud on the Tires.

Where we've been. Where we're going. February 21, 2011. Bird and the Worm. On Occasion, I "slip these surely bonds of earth" and work out of a mobile office. This afternoon my mobile office took me to 6,500 ft where the view was spectacular. A quick trip to King Salmon, Kenai, Anchorage, then home with good weather and much appreciated sunshine the entire way. I have slipped the surly bonds of earth. And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;. Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth.

Friday, October 22, 2010. As most of you probably know we've been down here for a little over a year. It's had it's ups and downs like any move, but when I really start thinking about it the good really out-shines the bad. One of the best things is. Jeremy loves his job here.
