Friday, May 27, 2011. No second chance for a first impression. It's come to my attention that my opponents were not happy with their performance at Candidates Night on Wednesday. One of them even went so far as claiming that he wanted a rematch and that the style of the "debate" was not conducive to getting his message out. Thursday, October 20, 2011. Solar Fields Coming To Mount Olive. At Tuesday's Council meeting (10/17/2011), we passed a resolution. By a vote of 6-2 to approve Mayor Scapicchio's plan to install solar panels on Combe Fill North (right next to Walmart). The is the second attempt to make good use of the former Super Fund site. A few years ago there were plans to turn that into another shopping center. But the faltering economy and collapsed housing market killed those plans. 360 US Highway 46.

Friday, September 30, 2011. Mount Olive Declares State of Emergency. Yesterday the Mount Olive Township Council held an emergency meeting at 3:30pm to address the unprecedented damage to River Road. You can read the agenda here. All resolutions and one ordinance authorizing $130,000 to repair River Road were passed unanimously.
