Moral Policy: November 2004
http://framerate.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Framing Versus Message Crafting. Http:/ www.washingtonmonthly.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/4170. For example, the Tax Fairness Act of 2005 as suggested by Atrios would be an example of message crafting. The underlying frame would be the notion of "fairness" which is probably dicey, but may well work on this topic. The "Baby Tax" would be another example of crafting a message, but it would work on the notion of "fairness" and appeal to emotional frames as regards babies. November 29, 2004.
Moral Policy: Nobody Was Tough On Condoleezza Rice
http://framerate.blogspot.com/2005/01/nobody-was-tough-on-condoleezza-rice.html
Thursday, January 20, 2005. Nobody Was Tough On Condoleezza Rice. I have read numerous news articles that used words like "tough" to describe how Condoleezza Rice was treated during her Secretary of State confirmation hearings. Let me get some terminology in place. Horrible is being killed in war. Tough is having to deal with a disability, such as those caused in a war. Missing a couple of limbs is very tough. That would still be easier than dealing with a disability caused by a war. Boycott, But Wisely!

Moral Policy: Bush's Fiscal Deceptions
http://framerate.blogspot.com/2005/02/bushs-fiscal-deceptions.html
Friday, February 11, 2005. Although the fiscal impact is the same either way, from an oversight standpoint the two approaches are very different- the program shifts from being administered by the appropriate agency (in this example, Health and Human Services) and subject to Congressional oversight, to being overseen by the IRS, which has no experience administering health programs. The most fundamental action is simply to contact your representative (or an aide) in support or opposition on a specific issue or bill. This can be written through regular mail, email, or verbally over the phone. It's just as important to contact Republicans. When writing, put the letter in your own words, about one topic, and keep in under one page (2-3 paragraphs). The following links provide additional tips (from various groups) about letter writting and contacting your representative. Both legislativ...
