Voyage of the Frugal Frigate. Our Homeschooling Adventures 2009-2010. Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Preparing the room for opening day is so fun. The boys get new supplies and the school room gets decorated to dazzle the boys and get them excited. Here is our work space:. Can't wait for the boys to see it in the morning. Grandma helped to decorate, ok, she did it all herself! Art by Karen Kindrick Cox. We've started a new adventure. This theme is based on a poem by Emily Dickinson:. We have also read.

Voyage of the Frugal Frigate. Our Homeschooling Adventures 2009-2010. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. We did a simple activity for each of the senses. We made funny eye glasses. We listened to many different songs to see how our mood changes, also we whispered and measured the distance of how far we could hear. Taste tested a bunch of things blindfolded. Cereal, toothpaste, sugar and carrots, etc. Smelled different things like dried onion and cinnamon. Blindfolded we touched things and guessed what they were.

Voyage of the Frugal Frigate. Our Homeschooling Adventures 2009-2010. Monday, March 15, 2010. Deseret Bakery at Welfare Square. We have been studying fractions through baking. The hands on activities are really helping the boys grasp the concepts. We toured to Deseret Bakery on Welfare Square. To see some baking in action. The place smells scrumptious! A volunteer hard at work. Owen in front of the grain elevator. We made a quick stop on Temple Square after the tour. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Our Happy Happy Family!!: The Getty Villa

http://amakasukids.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-getty-villa.html

Our Happy Happy Family! Here's what we do, where we go, what we like, and how we grow! May 16, 2015. Here's a random picture of some mosaics the boys made. Can you believe I have never been here? Maybe because it's in Malibu and the traffic is horrendous through LA anytime of the day. I don't miss that at all. San Deigo's traffic is a hiccough compared to LA. I digress. Lovely, classical, serene. I didn't even need to tell my kids who this is. Hermes/Mercury, of course! Benny, Owen and Milo:. 8220;Howeve...

Our Happy Happy Family! Here's what we do, where we go, what we like, and how we grow! May 5, 2015. On the ride home we discussed the hardships these children have faced. The food we had for dinner seemed almost vulgar in quantity. I'm so glad the boys were able to experience this. We are certainly more aware and more thankful for our abundant blessings. The Cahoon Family: August 2011

http://thecahoons.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Monday, August 29, 2011. It was an easy fix too. Hooray, no more worrying about our children having a heat stroke! While inside we end up watching a movie almost everyday. Porter loves 'flying' like Buzz. Update on Porter, he stays dry every night without a pull-up, and is doing great with few accidents in the day. 8 months later, but we are happy with the result. Never in my life did I think I would say this, but please winter come soon! Posted by The Cahoons! Earlier t...

Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Walking to "The Sand". Just streets away from our house are some awesome paths. One is paved, and others are just trails that lead all over these mountains. Looking North and downhill.I still get confused. All the mountains were north where I grew up. Sweeping desert views. I've learned to love the beauty of these desert mountains. We all love getting out and walking. Another day out on the path. Climbing on a bear. Monday, November 14, 2011.

Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Monday, October 25, 2010. On Thursday Sadie and I with our kids met up with Brittany in Chino for a school field trip. It was the Planes of Fame Museum. Brittany, Sadie and Amanda are doing "Golden Wings: Soaring over America" adventure for their home school this year. They do the work, and I enjoy the field trips and other fun 'schoolish' things! Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Sam, Porter Spencer and Morgan braving the cold to play outside. These white Mums turn purple before the die. Sadly now all of them our frost bitten. Do you play croquet? For Thanksgiving dinner this year we actually had enough table space for everyone to sit down. Marni's parents and my Brother Will came a bit later for some grub. Porter's deviled egg really memorized him. He kept saying "egg! Egg" and put it back on his plate. Porter loves e...

Phill, Ashley, Porter and Sawyer. Monday, October 31, 2011. It's been awhile since I last posted. I plan on catching up sometime. To tie you over, here is a picture of Sawyer on a slide. Most wouldn't realize how long Sawyer's hair actually is. Normally it's always laying flat on his head. I know it's long, but I can't seem to get myself to cut his fine baby hair. On another note for the past two weeks we have been exploring parks. We visited four parks and an oasis. Hopefully pictures to come!

Voyage of the Land Ark. Saturday, June 28, 2008. June 27, 2008. But once she finished and got back in the RV, she seemed to settle right down for a nap, so I think she’s ok now. I was worried at the beginning of this voyage that the RV would smell by the time we got to Arizona. Actually, smell hasn’t been a problem at all. I’ve cleaned the litter box twice every day, and Emily has been cleaning the guinea pig carrier daily. So no, smell isn’t a problem. Saturday, June 28, 2008. We all slept downstairs la...
