VOYAGE OF THE YACHT "SOLSTICE". Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Boat Lagoon, Phuket, Thailand to the States. Solstice in marina waiting to be hauled out. Hauled out and out of water. Gettiny bottom cleaned before goin to a hard stand. Now we are on a hard stand and will start getting ready to leave the boat for trip to States. On our way to the States. Arrived in Asheville, NC and celebrated our daughter Misty's birthday(Mardi Gras) theme king cake and all. Tiffany, Misty, Liz and Liz's husband Toaster.

VOYAGE OF THE YACHT "SOLSTICE". Tuesday, October 14, 2014. We went to a traditional Sasak village in Lombok who are the indigenous people who still speak the original language of Indonesia. They still live very primitively. Even though this is a storage shed there house are very similar. This is where they store the rice. Still using the traditional spinning wheel for spinning the yarn. Frying the eggs in the shell. Never have seen that before. Horse and buggy all parked. Don and Phyllis Turbeville.
