Captain Mietus has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (4), Navy Achievement Medal (2) and various unit and campaign awards. Welcome to Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing TEN. John M. Hermandorfer. Master Chief Hermandorfer, from O’Fallon, Missouri, enrolled in the Delayed Entry Program in September 1988. He enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1989. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego, California, he reported to Naval Air Technical Training Command, Millington, Tennessee, where he completed AE A school and was designated as an Aviation Electricians Mate. MWR for the Northwest region.
