Knitting and other stitches. Monday, November 18, 2013. I have a good friend who have lived in Canada for a time. She has helped me procuring a toy for us knitters. A knitting machine. I will still do most knitting by hand, but still- I really would like to explore "THE KNITTING MACHINE". Silverreed LK150. I am not specifically patient. Luckily I am rather technical. So- I made this child sweather in Drops Alpakka while exploring the machine. How to make a nice start and prevent the stockinet to curl?

Knitting and other stitches. Wednesday, December 10, 2014. This is made of loads of leftover sisu yarn. 40-45 grams of each of the colours. Casted on the knitting machine, used a pre punched standard punchcard. Changed colours every now and then. Afterwards- knitted around the edges to prevent the worst curls. Socks on knitting machine. I have often wondered. How do you make socks on a flat bed knitting machine? I found a description on line, and here i tried it. Not perfect, but ok. I hope she enjoys it.

I made these to keep practising the magic loop, and knitting two at the same time. Starting form the top of the mittens. Knitting and other stitches. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Angry bird hat for Yr. It is summer temperatures here now, and we have had one week of 20 degrees :-). This means that woolen hats are to warm to wear in preschool and kindergarten. But even if it is summer, we know that temperatures will drop to 12 degrees and some days we will have strong winds. Knitting and other stitches. Monday, October 21, 2013. This has been an ultimate knitting weekend. Starting Thursday evening with the monthly gathering at Cardinal Pub in Stavanger with more than 30 knitting ladies turning up to have a drink or two while enjoying their hobby. This time we had Bente Geil from Geilsk. Visiting and joining us. Friday we had a workshop from 6pm to 9 pm where we learnded useful techniques for edging of the knitted work, for starting with beautiful edges. Knitted jacket for YR.

Knitting and other stitches. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. I will not give up. I will not give up. I am just not able to get as good results on the knitting machine as with hand knitting. This time I tried to follow the recipe in a machine knitting book. Pair number 1 to short for the recipient, but luckily found an owner with shorter fingers than Sofie. The other pair - clearly! I had to make just that cm to long. But Sofie liked the colour and the pattern. And have been using them. Frk Snupp sin blogg.

Knitting and other stitches. Monday, March 17, 2014. Workshop at the pub. Stavanger Strikk og Drikk (Stavanger knit and drink) are meeting once a month in the best pub in Stavanger- The Cardinal. We wanted to invite the Danish Knit Designer Lene Holme Samsøe for a visit and a workshop. Sunday, March 16th from 17:00 - 20:00 we had our first workshop at Cardinal. It went well.
