Day to day life, living with VSG surgery. Thursday, April 29, 2010. The surgery I will be having on June 10, 2010 is called VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy), at St George's Hospital. During the surgery, my surgeon (Grant Coulter) is going cut away about 85% of my stomach. And the sunny side of things…. 1 month in…. How awesome is that! I weighed this morning just for my monthversary….and I reached my goal, which was to be out of the 230’s! I’m so excited! I’ve been to the gym everyday this week burning at least 600 cals per workout.I want to make sure that as the weight comes off that I’m tone and tight. If I lay my arm flat my arm looks just as fat as it was pre op. I’m really hating this and find it quite disgusting. I’d told myself that I was going to avoid it all together for about 2 weeks, but that didn’t happen.LOL. This morning I got on the scale and weighed 219! I’m so happy to finally be out of the 220’s.
