Thursday, February 19, 2009. Already by the first of February it seemed that winter and the cross-country season was winding down. Living here in the city its often hard to imagine there is snow up there to be had, especially when the temps are in the 50's and the sun is out, like its been. I held out pre-registering for the Ozbaldy 50-k because I am still scarred from the '07 Kongskerger Stampede there at Cabin Creek when the fresh snow amounted to skiing on 8 inches of mush. Friday, January 04, 2013. First Ride Of 2013: Just A Commute. Easy with some power surges. Sunny but very brisk this morning but I loved it - the sunnier and brisker the better! Ice in spots and had a few tense moments on black ice. I felt great out there after 2 days off: New Years day eating too much, drinking too much beer, getting fat in front of the TV in Flagstaff but putting it in the bank. Yesterday was an all-day travel day. In bed by 9:30 along with the kiddo and slept great, 9-hours.
