A Comissão Européia finalmente concedeu a Porsche o direito de adquirir o Grupo Volkswagen, tornando-se assim dona do maior conglomerado automotivo europeu. A Porsche deverá investir 15 bilhões de euros para aumentar sua participação de 31% para mais de 50% nas ações da marca de Wolfsburg assumindo o controle da Volkswagen. A Porsche terá controle agora, além da maior marca européia, de Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Seat e Skoda.
