This year I promised Simon M0SIY I would join him at his station to run the M9K contest call for the IOTA contest. The images below show the linear free shack ready to work some interesting stations, This is a very small and simple shack space, I hope that what I have keeps me happy because unless I buy a much bigger house or build on a extension this is going to be it for some time. M0TEF - QRP and Amateur Radio: January 2014
http://m0tef.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
M0TEF - QRP and Amateur Radio. A blog about my QRP activity and other amateur radio interests. Sunday, 26 January 2014. QRP contacts, DX and local QRM. I have been really busy recently with a mixture of work and family life. It is great to have a hobby but sometimes other things just stand in the way. This weekend however I got a sneaky few hours to visit a local radio rally to sniff out some bargains and then an hour or so to fire up the radio in peace. Wednesday, 8 January 2014. W2LJ QRP .... Do More With Less: Facebook - what is it good for?
http://w2lj.blogspot.com/2015/08/facebook-what-is-it-good-for.html
Sunday, August 02, 2015. Facebook - what is it good for? A lot of Hams out there will answer that question by saying, "it's good for nothing! Several of the good groups include (but are not limited to - don't want to get any one's knickers in a knot) the Field Radio group. Another group more germane to QRPers is the QRP Outdoor Radio group. 72 de Larry W2LJ. QRP - When you care to send the very least! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). AD5A's Radio Blog: February 2015

Friday, February 27, 2015. Chew the Rag a Little. We use the spotting networks to save time turning the dial looking for DX, or that needed whatever, we may be chasing. Even the rare times that we may call CQ, it's a quick report and on to the next one. Because of our rush to get through our days, we miss a lot of the hidden treasures available to us in Amateur Radio if just take the time. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Closing in on Mountain Goat. McDonald Observatory from Mt. Arabella. My Plan for K1N.

WW2PT Amateur Radio: K1N: Navassa 2015
http://ww2pt.blogspot.com/2015/02/navassa-2015.html
Friday, February 6, 2015. Went QRV and the expected bedlam ensued. Big Brother KB2YAN called me to gloat about working them on 40m CW; I told him I was going to wait a few days for things to calm down. My QSX was up 6.4 on 7029.4. So the pressure of working an ATNO is over. Now for 30-10m. 04-Feb: 20m, 17m, and First Upload to ClubLog. QSOs through 03-Feb, 1631 UTC have been uploaded to ClubLog; no LOTW yet. 05-Feb: Second K1N Upload to ClubLog is in! 06-Feb: VOACAP Predictions for K1N. I decided to give...

WW2PT Amateur Radio: January 2015
http://ww2pt.blogspot.com/2015/01/january-2015.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. Only two all-time new ones this month. Got 1A0C for DXCC #205; now if only they'd update ClubLog, the last QSO uploaded was from July 2012. JY9FC was strong (S7 ) on 12m Saturday morning 31-Jan, in the log as DXCC #206. Damn, new countries are get harder and harder to come across after 150. Operation by the Brits, got them on 40, 30, 20, 15, 12, and 10 meters. Super-fast daily LOTW and ClubLog uploads. Just a great operation all around. The end of the month tally:. The Main Se...

WW2PT Amateur Radio: 2015 ARRL International DX Contest (CW)
http://ww2pt.blogspot.com/2015/02/2015-arrl-international-dx-contest-cw.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. 2015 ARRL International DX Contest (CW). New Band Slots: 30. A fairly productive DX weekend despite being out of the shack through most of it. Put in about 15 hours working 40/20/15/10m only. The great band conditions on all bands plus the low noise level here on Cedar Key made contest conditions the most enjoyable I've ever experienced. I beat last years score (156,600) by a wee bit despite having fewer QSOs - 42 extra multipliers did that. Most of the business was conducted w...
