Courtney's W412 Blog. On: November 25, 2010. I downloaded his latest album and have been listening to it for two days solid, amusing myself by trying to identify all the songs. I may be too old for Greg, but I think I love him. I’ve always had a weakness for DJs. To be completely honest, I never paid much attention to Girl Talk before because the name made me think of a trio of 20-something females auto-tuned beyond recognition. On: November 21, 2010. I watched the video and am connecting a link here bec...

Carpe Diem... Even if it Kills Me: Wysocki, "Opening New Media to Writing"
http://carpediemevenifitkillsme.blogspot.com/2010/11/wysocki-opening-new-media-to-writing.html
Carpe Diem. Even if it Kills Me. Saturday, November 6, 2010. Wysocki, "Opening New Media to Writing". The passages that I find most important were those that I found a personal connection with. I don't know if they're all "main points" per se, but they are points that will stick with me as a future educator. Why is that action wrong or bad? Part of learning how to read is learning how to question what you read and learning how to find out more about the text you started with. November 16, 2010 at 5:54 AM.

Carpe Diem. Even if it Kills Me. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Annotations Two and Three. November 22, 2010 at 12:52 PM. I find the idea of literacies amongst varying socioeconomical groups to be pretty interesting and it will probably prove to be a very difficult and insightful topic for your final essay. And although it does not relate to my paper, I still think it would be interesting to read up on. Good luck. November 22, 2010 at 6:51 PM. November 22, 2010 at 9:10 PM. Carpe Diem. Even if it Kills Me. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Ok, so I've clearly been neglecting some of our work and I apologize to everyone for not having my head in the game. I've been in a show that I have absolutely loved and dedicated myself to, which means because I'm terrible at juggling things, "Aloha Follies" has been the only thing I've spent time on. So, here is the post I should have written last week. November 22, 2010 at 6:53 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Annotations Two and Three.

Monday, November 8, 2010. The way I wish I could write my blog. My Blog as a Word Cloud. November 15, 2010 at 1:11 PM. Neat word cloud. Is that from Wysockis essay or from your writing about her essay? Also, have you seen this: http:/ www.tagxedo.com/. I just found out about it. I think this is going to be the new Wordle. November 21, 2010 at 6:04 PM. If you wrote your blog as a Wordl, there would be no Wordl; youd need the blog entries first. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Working out the kinks.

Monday, November 8, 2010. Writing teachers focus specifically on texts and how situated people (learn how to) use them to make things happen"(5). November 15, 2010 at 1:20 PM. I might be missing your point (and if I am, please tell me), but could teachers improve education by treating books like new media texts? Then again, Hamlet isnt exactly my favorite play. So, I could be wrong. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Working out the kinks. The way I wish I could write my blog. View my complete profile.

Keeping Texts’ Materiality Visible | Courtney's W412 Blog

Courtney's W412 Blog. Keeping Texts’ Materiality Visible. On: November 6, 2010. I have honestly never given much thought to the “format” of my papers. 8 1/2″ by 11″ paper, 1-inch margins, 12-point Times New Roman font. Occasionally I have chosen a different font because I like sans serifs, but professors have chided me for this, thinking I was trying to take up more space than I was able to write. When Wysocki addresses thinking differently about our writing in her essay. Opening New Media to Writing.
