Leaving New England and heading to the Heartland, we set out on another Adventure. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Family was out the door at 9 AM for our visit to Yellowstone National Park. It is so amazing how nature repairs itself after such a tragedy as the Wildfires of '88. So much new growth right alongside the old. Right off the bat, we saw a herd of elk grazing by the Madison River. Then an eagle soared above us. Close encounter with yet. Joe, Sarah and the kids. Labels: Day 2 (cont).

What a great day.after finding the perfect (and first one we found) parking spot, we headed off to buy tickets for the Old Towne Trolley tour. Let me just say that Washington was and still is a city built by true artisans. We purchased our tickets at the Mayflower Hotel. This hotel looked like one right out of a '20s-era movie!
