Saturday, May 31, 2014. Road Trip: Dolomites, Northern Italy Part 4. On our last day in Northern Italy, we decided to take a mountain train through the Dolomites. Before we headed out for the day, the farmers on the agriturismo wanted to show us how they plant potatoes. From Bolzano, we took a cable car up the mountain. All smiles from the cable car. Once on top, we took the mountain train. We hiked to these interesting Earth pyramids. Back at the farm. Sure going to miss this hut to relax in! We visited...

Saturday, August 30, 2014. Tuscany: Montalcino Part 8. After our wine-tasting at the Poggio Antico vineyard, we headed up to the charming hill-town of Montalcino. This village is filled with a multitude of Brunello wine shops, art galleries, small eateries, and several gelato shops. Just look at those rolling hills in the distance. I am in love with the details on some of the simplest buildings (the door). And I love that this one is completely covered, yet still beautiful! Heading toward the castle.

Saturday, September 6, 2014. Back to the USA: July-August 2014. For three weeks, we were fortunate to be able to go home and see all our families and friends! It had been 2 years since we had seen most of them. What a great trip! The boys and cousin, Eddie. Lots of sleep-overs with cousin, Ty! These boys were inseperable. Mike and I had a little get-away at this lovely place, the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion. Our room had a mural of Forest Park's Grand Basin. Didn't even feel like we were in the heart of the city.
