Rodriquez Review: New School Room!
http://rodriquezim.blogspot.com/2011/08/new-school-room.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. I have been dying to do a post about our new school room, but I was waiting to get the last couple of things in place. Seth finished hanging the chalkboard on Saturday so our new space is now complete! I love how it turned out! This is THE chalkboard. Seth made it for me! I made the alphabet above the chalkboard on my computer and laminated it with my new laminator. (I love my laminator! These are Leila's "Tot Tubs." I got the idea from this blog. The blog author calls them "Tot...

Rodriquez Review: 1st Day of School 2012-2013
http://rodriquezim.blogspot.com/2012/08/1st-day-of-school-2012-2013.html
Tuesday, August 21, 2012. 1st Day of School 2012-2013. I can't believe today was the first day of school! It's cliche, but really! Where did the summer go? Yesterday we successfully made it to co-op, which was felt like a major accomplishment. Class starts at 9:00, which, considering the 30 minute drive, is a bit early for this crew. But we pulled in the parking lot at 8:48 and had everyone in class by starting time! We took our traditional First Day of School pictures:. SO proud to be in Kindergarten!

Camp Slop: What We Did This Week - Week 6
http://campslop.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-we-did-this-week-week-6.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. What We Did This Week - Week 6. Pinky is 5 years, Chaos is 36 months, and Wild One is 15 months. We didn't have a specific theme this week, though art did play a large role in most of our activities. This week we started the online art class from Pineapple Paintbrush. If you're not joining in you really should be - it's a lot of fun! You can click the button in my sidebar to learn more. We started by reading Mouse Paint. Since this week's class is all about color. Just for fun w...

Rodriquez Review: Notebook 2012-2013

The Kids' Latest Writing Projects. I hope to keep this page up-to-date with the kids' latest writing projects for school. Currently Benj (1st grade) is focusing on longer projects and the creative process, including lots of picture drawing and building with Legos, so his contributions to this page may be less frequent. Talia (Kindergarten) loves to write little imaginative stories and poems on various topics. Enjoy! May 2, 2013. I do not like blue spinach. It’s a food I can not finish. April 30, 2013.

Monday, January 05, 2015. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2014. Dabblingmomma: Number Sequence (What's the Missing Number?)
http://dabblingmomma.blogspot.com/2014/11/number-sequence-whats-missing-number.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. Number Sequence (What's the Missing Number? Christmastime offers up so many beautiful lights whether hanging them or admiring them. Personally, for me, I can't get enough of them as they are so pretty. The lights inspired me to do this activity. We do a fair amount of number writing in our homeschool preschool but we haven't done too much in the way of number sequence. Here's what we did:. My daughter immediately got to work! Red and green labels or construction paper. Large wh...

Inspired Montessori and Arts at Dundee Montessori: Harold and the Purple Crayon
http://inspiredmontessori.blogspot.com/2012/11/harold-and-purple-crayon.html
Sunday, November 25, 2012. Harold and the Purple Crayon. Harold and the Purple Crayon. One of my favorite books from my childhood is still a book that instills silence at story time because of the fantasy world drawn by little artist Harold as he walks through his life. One never knows what his crayon will draw in adventure. This game gives structure to our drawing lesson. We read the books and then use the game's picture cards to make a world of our own. I make an easy master for the kids to view. Oh ho...
