August 27, 2016. August 27, 2016. What a whirlwind 24 hours. We’ve successfully gotten lost in Venice, drank numerous americanos, stumbled upon a great authentic trattoria (complete with a full-on Italian family brawl), seen the tourist sites and rested our tired feet. Now it’s off to cruise the Adriatic Sea on the Norwegian Jade. Next stop: Dubrovnik, Croatia. Not sure when I’ll have wifi again but I’ll be writing throughout the trip and posting when I have Internet access. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Mike, always a pincher of pennies (bless his heart), wanted us to fly regular Rouge and save the coin all together. I refused to even go on the trip unless we flew premium IF we had to fly Rouge. I know I sound like a princess but whatever…you’re entitled to your opinion. Try walking around with 35″ legs and a bad back. Fly...8221; [insert high-five].

Either way, it’s dark outside and I can’t sleep. We left Victoria at 6:00am and landed in Venice at 10:45pm (but 7:45am Venice time). Clearing customs and collecting our bags was a breeze and we arrived at our hotel less than an hour after arriving in this magical city. And here is where the problem began…do we nap?
