This a very small town south of the ranges and only 40km north of Port Augusta. It is home to the tourist train called Pichi Richi railway and the town has been the backdrop to many movies such as “Sunday to far away” the “Shiralee” and “Gallipoli. September (with a bit of luck) will see us retrace some of our WA tour. At least to Poochera then we head across to Streaky Bay and down along the Eyre Peninsular.
