Nā hoa O Waikōloa. The Waikoloa Dry Forest Preserve is located just southwest of Waikoloa Village and encompasses 275 acres of remnant dryland forest. The preserve is home to several endemic plant species including the wiliwili ( Erythrina sandwicensis. And the critically endangered uhiuhi ( Mezoneuron kavaiensis. Picture 1 of 14. Reduce the threat of wildfire by creating fuel breaks and buffers. Exclude feral animals- Animals have been excluded from our 275 acre fence and we aim to keep it that way!

Nā hoa O Waikōloa. Guided Tour Friday 8.29.14. August 13, 2014. Our staff will be offering an interpretive walking tour of the preserve next week. You will have the opportunity to get up close to some of our ancient wiliwili trees which are just getting ready to blossom. We will also tour our restoration areas and get to know some of the native plants in our nursery. There will be ample opportunities for photos! A minimum $20 donation per group is encouraged. Volunteer this Saturday 6/21!
