Wainuioru School - Poroporo Blog. Friday, April 2, 2010. Our last day of term had a definite Easter theme. Most of the children designed and wore Easter bonnets. There were some very creative bonnets to be seen and of course lots of chocolate eggs on top of the bonnets! The whole school participated in an Easter Treasure Hunt in which they had to answer clues and work out an Easter phrase. We also had an assembly in the afternoon to parade the bonnets and also draw the huge Easter raffle.

On the 2 of September 2010 it was Electives day .We were going to build a planter box where the wood fits together like giant bits of tongue and groove. Zing, zing the wood was being cut! Wainuioru School - Poroporo Blog. Saturday, July 16, 2011. On Thursday the 30 of June we tried to mummify ourselves. Mrs Stevens gave us a partner each and we had to try and wrap them up like a mummy. It was lots of fun and hot work! We should of take off our jerseys first. It was really hard to stand still while we were getting wrapped up and even harder to move around without the toilet paper breaking. There was a huge mess at the end of it and it tooks us ages to clean it all up. By Thomas L and Joel.

Thursday, March 21, 2013. On the 28th of March Wainuioru School is doing a Easter bonnet competition to give kids a chance to be creative by decorating a hat with the Easter theme. You also HAVE to design a hat to enter in the Easter hunt of chocolate eggs which will be placed around the school.We are doing it for a fun afternoon before Easter. Our team consisted of Vania, Nate, Lachie, Pip, Olivia, Josh, Joe, Thomas, William and Flynn. We played 4 games lost 3 of them and won 1. They did very well.
