Saturday, January 31, 2009. Yes, we got Lauren down for a nap in her crib at 1:15pm today! This may sound like a little thing, but it's a BIG success at our house today. She has been so off on her sleeping since we've been home that she won't nap until she crashes at about 5pm and then won't go to bed for the night until WAY late. It was late (about 10:30pm) because she napped late, but it was a drama free bedtime and I'll take that anytime. Eventually, we'll get her into bed earlier and earlier. I wante...

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. I'm hanging in there. But it sure is HARD going back to work! The work day flew by and before I knew it, it was 5pm and time to go. I only called Joe once that morning and I got through the day without any tears until I called Joe on the way home. He said that Lauren was crying and calling for me when she got up from her nap. Monday, May 25, 2009. Well, let's get on to some pictures. Last weekend we went to a peach festival at a local farm. It was a nice event, but it was WAY TOO HOT to be out there. We only lasted a couple of hours in the heat, but Lauren got to ride a pony for the first time. Here's a couple of scrap pages for her 1st year book (click to enlarge). Monday, October 06, 2008. But today. I just had to call our China agency to ask about the rumored increase in orphanage fees from $3,000 to $5,000. I visited with our agency recently in Colorado and the director told me he thought after the Olympics the fees would increase and that would lead to a stabilization and ultimate decrease in wait times. I have not seen any evidence of that so I wanted to find out the status. Of course the question is "Who is asking this of you? Isabella's Mommy and Daddy.

Lisa W. took us to a totally adorable consignment shop near her house called. That was jam packed full of the coolest furniture pieces and accessories.
