Wednesday, August 18, 2010. So there are a few things i have learned since becoming a mom. Like do like let the baby sleep for 6 hours straight during the day because he will not sleep that night. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Our first night away from you was when you were only a week old. some people may think thats terrible but i knew you were in the best of hands so it really wasnt that bad. We had a wedding to go to in philadelphia so i left you down the shore with grandma for the night. i only cried three times, which i think is pretty good. as much as i missed you it wasnt bad because i knew i didnt have to worry about you, grandma is the next best thing besides your mom. About my little tester: 7 months old Naomi. Had only been fed breast milk and homemade purees up to that point. She can be a little fussy with the homemade purees and made it very clear to me that she would not eat just anything I provide in a spoon. Hehe. First checked in for some blood tests and then went to see the OB-Gyn nurse for standard questions before seeing the doc. 16 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Weight: 197lbs ( 2.5 lbs since first exam, still 3 lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight). Then we sat in the hall waiting for the OB-gyn to arrive. The ups and downs and in-betweens of a first time mom 2 be. We're now at 38 weeks and Jade is supposedly the size of a watermelon now. I took a few pictures yesterday in front of the mirror. They're not great but good enough to remember the size and shape of the belly in this final stage of development. So far, I've had 2 bad episodes of indigestion that kept me up all night.
