Waiting on RedFisch: March 2011

http://waitingonredfisch.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 13, 2011. Words Are Difficult, Part 2. She always answered my calls. Sometimes had to call me right back, but always did. In the beginning, she answered my questions with little detail and never asked a question of her own. About a month into the phone calls, she FINALLY asked me a question. She said “So, how is your week going? 8221; Now…that may not seem like much to you, but I was so excited that she might be getting to the point of comfort with me! So…I’ve updated our adopti...

Waiting on RedFisch: April 2011

http://waitingonredfisch.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 17, 2011. Adoption: FAIL.Or maybe not? This week we have experienced the “not-so-easy” part of the adoption process. I can make a long story short…or a short story long. This blog entry could go either way. For those of you reading, I can answer your curiosity before I even get into the story by saying: We just don’t know what is going to happen. But then, Brenda said to me (and I can’t get this statement out of my head! I am certain God does and I’m trying to find comfort in that. First, I...

Some things are worth sharing. Open mouth, insert foot. One of my very first posts was something about "it's better to be pleasantly surprised than to be horribly disappointed" Amen! I'm not sure why I lost sight of that with my whole "Lose 2lbs a week" declaration. I've skipped updating ya'll on the last few weigh-ins. This is mainly because I'm embarrassed. Week returning from Denver: Up 2.4lbs. Week returning from NYC: Up 2.5lbs. Awesome. Clearly I suck at traveling. Soooooo. Here's my new plan:.

http://articulate-arti.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Some things are worth sharing. Okay, so maybe this will be my lamest post ever. Then again, maybe it will inspire one of my 3 readers. Either way, I feel like it's an important exercise for me. So here it goes. It begins with a single question:. What are your dreams? Okay, okay. So I bet at least a few of you have already decided that this is, in fact, my lamest post ever. Before you close the browser and vow never to read this blog again, allow me to give just a bit of background. I've given it a lot of...

*ARTI-culate*: Pulling the Goalie*

http://articulate-arti.blogspot.com/2011/04/pulling-goalie.html

Some things are worth sharing. This post is going to be what we'd label an "overshare". Consider yourself warned. I'm 32 years old. I've been married for just about 5 years. We've got a solid marriage, we've got a home, we're both gainfully employed, AND.we're childless. WTF, right? Uh uh Not so. When is the date? What are the colors? Who is in the bridal party? It's exhausting, really. So, finally.all that nonsense is over. Then it starts. When are you guys having kids? Allow me to elaborate:. All this ...

http://articulate-arti.blogspot.com/2012/01/its-thought-that-counts.html

Some things are worth sharing. It's the thought that counts. This is my husband and love of my life:. Pretty cute, right? Yeah, I think so. Anyway, if you have had the pleasure of meeting him, you probably think he's one of the nicest people you've ever met. If you do, you'd be right. If you don't, you may want to see a witch doctor to check if you have a soul. Yes, I wake up in the middle of the night, look at the clock, and if it's after midnight, I basically squeal "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I had mention...

http://articulate-arti.blogspot.com/2012/01/turning-page.html

Some things are worth sharing. I happened across a quote a while back that really had me thinking. If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and everyday, you have the opportunity to write a new page.". I had mentioned in a previous post. But then a funny thing happened. What was important to me. All of a sudden, I didn't care what. Obstacles were in my way.I was gonna make this happen come hell or high water. And so it began.the doctor appointme...

http://articulate-arti.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Some things are worth sharing. I'm not a Mac, I'm not a PC, I'm a victim of my circumstance. The debate has been raging for as long as I can remember. I'm sure we all remember these commercials with the nameless nerdy guy representing "the man" and their evil agendas and Justin Long representing the rebellious Gen X/Yer who refuses to conform to business casual standards. So began my personal hell. Different enough to make me crazy! Cut me a break here! My point in this rant is to simply say this. I know...

Some things are worth sharing. The Father's Day Addition. When I first started this blog, I had an idea of what it would be about. It's sort of taken a life of it's own, and sadly, has been far more about my struggle with weight loss than I originally intended it to be. However, if you go to my very first blog post. You'll see that the very top of my list was my dad. This is my dad. You may notice the resemblance between the two of us. Don't be so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.".

Some things are worth sharing. Youth is Wasted on the Young. When you're in your 20s, life seems to be limitless and spread out before you. You think you have all the time in the world to travel, to enjoy marriage, to finally get in shape, to be healthier, to have kids. It's a pretty rude awakening when you realize that there actually is a ticking clock looming above your head. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kansas City, MO, United States. View my complete profile. Some things are worth sharing. 2012: Just under the wire. To say that I sucked at blogging in 2012 would be an understatement. I really had every intention of being positive and blogging about fun and funny things. As you can see, I basically had 2 or 3 posts and that was that. So despite 2012 starting terribly, I learned a lot. Here's some of the highlights:. Sudhir and I make cute babies. You don't think I'd make such a bold statement without proof, do you? I'm a pretty good mom. I was super worrie...

Some things are worth sharing. 5 Years in the Making. In the middle of August, the hubs and I finally did it. We went to Italy. It was the thing we had wanted to do since we got married. It just never really seemed like the right time. Given our recent plans of having a kid, we figured it was time to get that trip in. Until then, I wanted to leave you with some tips in case you will be traveling to Italy in the near future. I hope you will find them useful. Tip #1: Travel with people who are hilarious.

Waiting on Sunday to Drown. Its funny, the things that you find in the rain. 20 March 2016 @ 02:36 am. So we have some news for you," Heather said suddenly. My ears pricked up. Another baby! But you're not gonna like it.". My heart dropped to my knees. That could only mean one thing. So I tend to err on the side of caution. (As a footnote, we later became Facebook friends without much fanfare. And it wasn't weird at all. It was fine.). In early 2012, she asked if I'd ever read The Hunger Games. I'm defin...
