Bangkok has EVERYTHING for sale. I could have not packed anything and bought all my travel needs on Kao San road (the tourist area). Britt's Hiatus from Reality and Responsibilty. Friday, July 18, 2008. The children were lively but stayed away from us. The adult men were more ready to try to communicate with us through hand gestures and grunting while the women stayed away and denied any pictures be taken. The communication proved more difficult than trying to communicate with someone from Laos or Thailand that didn't speak Engligh. The culture difference was so strong much of the body language seemed very foreign as well.

Eaten in a dinner with Vietnamese soldiers we were invited to join at their station after our day at the beach. So no gripping at me about it because it would have been very rude to turn down given the situation. I think it's like larva basically. Juicy and strong tasting. Wouldn't eat again. Not my favorite flavor and too chewy. Not to bad with the right flavoring. I rarely see p...

Britt's Hiatus from Reality and Responsibilty. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Well so much has been going on that there is no time to write. So now I am in the middle of Vietnam but I'll give a short Laos wrap up. Luang Prabang is a nice cute town along the river with lots of old French architecture and tons of upscale bars and restaurants. They have a nice temple on the top of a hill that we climbed to and freed some birds for good luck. Then we explored the crazy street meats and cute street market.
