Thursday, February 23, 2012. Yesterday I attended our bi-weekly Ladies Bible Study at the home of RuBu. A nice time of study, reflection, discussion and . well, food and fellowship. RuBu makes a habit of staying away from processed sugar and other nasties, and keeps it real with serving us a welcoming platter of fresh fruit. Yesterday, however, she made cookies. Lovely, crisp dainties with only goodness as their ingredients. . Note to self: Get the recipe. Cups all purpose flour. Cup currants or raisins.

It's 1775 again…. Festival dates are set for 2016. January 5, 2016. By George Washington Inn. Join us this summer for the 2nd annual NW Colonial Festival from August 11-14, 2016. George Washington Inn. And Washington Lavender Farm. Will once again host a reenactment of the Battles of Lexington and Concord on their grounds. An on-site colonial village and encampment will feature exciting artisan crafts and demonstrations throughout the event. The inaugural festival was a huge success!

Old and young alike enjoyed a great day of riding around the Olympic Peninsula discovering the hospitality and beauty of its iconic lavender farms. The ride’s fourth year saw a healthy increase with 320 registrants, a 23 % increase from the previous year. More than $5,000 was raised to benefit the Olympic Discovery Trail. March 22, 2016.
