Design Wanna-be: A Nursery
http://designwanna-be.blogspot.com/2010/05/nursery.html
Sunday, May 9, 2010. Well, the semester has ended, and I'm back to my fun with design. As most of you know, Ben and I have been on a bit of a journey to start our family. We've finally been approved with our adoption agency, and are now officially waiting! So, I convinced him to peruse some kids rooms on Ohdeedo. And below I've posted my top picks and his top picks. What do you think? Any ideas of how to combine some elements from each? A few of my picks:. I really like the yellow and aqua. I randomly st...

Here's a sneak peak- I hope you like it as much as I do. Perfect and precious in every way. To see the full post click here. The funnies...

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Lacking Inspiration Where Design is Concerned. I'm trying to post something, but I just have nothing creative and inspiring to post regarding the design world. Right now my mind is swimming with thoughts of Performance Based Assessments for my students, the 50 compositions I still have left to grade, and the inspiring, yet difficult topic of Critical Race Theory. I imagine you will, therefore I will just briefly mention this book. Wednesday, February 17, 2010. As you may remem...

Design Wanna-be: October 2009
http://designwanna-be.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 21, 2009. I spend so much time these days in my office, that I often get distracted thinking about how I wish I could really re-decorate it. One of my good friends helped me rearrange (and I put up my super cool curtains from IKEA) and it made a huge difference! But I really want to start over from scratch. Here's a nice office from Pottery Barn. I think I would definitely get more work done if I had a new desk! But why is mine always sooooo much more cluttered than this! If you'd rath...

Design Wanna-be: January 2010
http://designwanna-be.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. I was browsing one of my regular reads, Bloesem. When one of her ads actually caught my eye. She always posts the most unique and beautiful things. So I clicked on the link. And found the piece that had caught my eye, this adorable Victorian Row House storage container. I put it in my cart and contemplated where I could use it in my house, then I went to default, when I can't justify buying it for myself and thought, "Who I could buy it for? Doin' it Down to earth: The smiles make it all worth it!
http://doinitdown.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-smiles-make-it-all-worth-it.html
Thursday, February 28, 2013. The smiles make it all worth it! Right now, Ty Christian is doing well. I can tell the curve has progressed and that he is off balance. His right lung has reduced capacity and I see the buldge in the small of his back. I see the knot on his left shoulder and the Kyphosis is increased. I keep thinking how we do not want this surgery again. I also know what the outcome would be without it. He has so much pain. I said "hey, you can't. Tolerate cold or rainy weather. The "can'ts"...
