http://mountainsmilesmist.blogspot.com/2011/01/2010-walks.html
Saturday, 8 January 2011. I didn't get my long-promised day in August, and so had to wait until September for another foray into the hills, but I made up for it with a weekend circuit of the Lairig Ghru, Cairn a' Mhaim, Ben Macdui and Fiacaill a' Choire Cas. I very rarely head out in company, but walked that weekend with my friend Nick.We started at the Sugar Bowl carpark, and headed t. I've got a bit lazy about updating the walking gallery, and have been posting my photos to facebook. Good to see a post!

Wednesday, 13 April 2011. Tiny Causes of Enormous Problems. God knows - how not to protect your mate from a life-changing illness. The woman continued looking blank, so I encouraged her to think about covering her legs, and left. If you spend any time at all in the UK countryside, I encourage you to familiarise yourself with Lyme disease. Posted by Leigh Forbes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, 3 September 2010. Belstone to Watern, Wild camp 27-08-2010. Wednesday evening and work was over for the week, the joys of fighting my way through the Plymouth rush hour traffic was set out in front of me, before hitting the open moorland roads heading north to Barnstaple and onwards to Ilfracombe. Thursday was Taz walking day for me with a bimble round Ilfracombe. A bonus to taking the route around the outskirts of the moors, was coming across the fairy's house. From here it was an easy to naviga...

Wednesday, 15 September 2010. An excuse to start running again. It seems to be having the desired effect on Taz, just got to wait and see what effect it has on me, most likely none. 26 November 2012 at 14:44. The sunset looks perfect. Oh to have someone to enjoy the view with. It looks really romantic don’t you think? Thanks for sharing this brilliantly executed shot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. DW's ramblings: Bank Holiday Weekend Wild Camp Part 2
http://dw-rambling.blogspot.com/2010/05/bank-holiday-weekend-wild-camp-part-2.html
Monday, 31 May 2010. Bank Holiday Weekend Wild Camp Part 2. Sundays walk was to be far more pleasant, being able to see where you were walking to was a rather novel compared to saturdays adventures. Nine O'clock and we ready and making a move skirting round the hill side and the a short climb up to Cut hill and the peat pass before descending down to the west dart, looking down into Sandy hole pass, then heading on to the waterfall for a short break and a few photo's to be taken. Sundays camp spot was to...

Thursday, 29 April 2010. Fox Tor Mire and Childs Tomb Bimble. Jaunt was a bimble. Through Fox Tor mires and on out to C hilds. Tomb, with the walking history book called Shamus, The weather made a pleasant change, no clear blue sky's just overcast clouds to add character. And atmosphere to the moors, and the threat of rain so a day to be prepared to get wet, or dress for the conditions, no trail shoes today for fear of ending hip deep in a section of what is renowned. Poke with a walking pole to test gro...

DW's ramblings: Help the Hero's sponsored walk. 10-6-10
http://dw-rambling.blogspot.com/2010/06/help-heros-sponsored-walk-10-6-10.html
Friday, 11 June 2010. Help the Hero's sponsored walk. 10-6-10. A walk i didn't have to plan, or lead, just turn up walk and give moral support to those slightly less used to walking long distances, the supposed 10 mile route was only a fraction longer by about a third, in reality it was 13.2 miles. Starting out from Mount Edgcombe and walking through the rather splendid gardens. So fueled up it was onwards and upwards to penlee point and the old watch hut. From here its along the coast to Rame head.

DW's ramblings: Bank Holiday Weekend Wild Camp
http://dw-rambling.blogspot.com/2010/05/bank-holiday-weekend-wild-camp.html
Monday, 31 May 2010. Bank Holiday Weekend Wild Camp. This trip had been in the diary for some time, fingers had been crossed for some nice weather with taking Louise out for her first wild camping trip with me. As per usual with bank holiday weekends the weather was less than favourable at least on the Saturday,. By ten thirty i was sat in the old quarry car park at two bridges, looking at a rather badly parked and abandoned car( Louise's) as she too had arrived early but headed for the pub for a coffee.
