Sunday, July 6, 2008. From the Land Down Under - Desde la tierra de abajo. After a very loooonnnnggg trip we arrived safely in Sydney. What we've seen so far is beautiful but we have not seen much since all we've done is go from the airport to the college. When we arrived yesterday at 6 something am they suggested that it was best to stay up till it was night time here so we did! And it's usually very full! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gulliver: Arrived
http://gulliveronline.blogspot.com/2008/05/arrived.html
Reflections of a Yahoo. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Well, I finally made it! I arrived in Delhi this afternoon after a long trans-Pacific flight. It's pretty warm here this time of year, and it's hard for me to imagine that only yesterday I was cross-country skiing through the foothills of whatever mountains are near Snohomish. (Yes, it was fun. But I must have fallen at least twenty times and my butt still hurts! But I didn't tell him so. May 18, 2008 at 9:27 AM. Looking forward to your stories, Rachel!

Gulliver: A Frustrating Speaking Experience
http://gulliveronline.blogspot.com/2008/04/frustrating-speaking-experience.html
Reflections of a Yahoo. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. A Frustrating Speaking Experience. Don't worry, I'm back. I haven't drowned in the sea. I went to Hawaii and spent as little time as possible on my computer. One day soon I may write about the Dalai Lama, but it won't be tonight. I'm too tired. The whole mob jumped and ran for the door. It was lunch time. I had just told them about starving babies, and they were still concerned about lunch! Labels: Kingdom of God. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Gulliver: September 2008
http://gulliveronline.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Reflections of a Yahoo. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Well friends, I brought two significant things back with me from India this time: Malaria and a job. I suppose I didn't "officially" obtain these things until a few days after returning to the States. Both happened in Toledo, Ohio, where I will be moving to in a little over a month. But they did originate in Asia. From Kolkata I trained back to Varanasi to run some errands and to say farewell to the Sharmas (Lala, Vibha, Vinayak, and Vinit). Vina...

Friday, July 25, 2008. I'm reminded of a little song some of my friends used to sing: "Now the time has come to say goodbye." lalalala. Tomorrow (Saturday) morning we will be leaving Australia. It has truely been a wonderful experience! En este momento me viene a la mente una cancion que algunos de mis amigos cantaban que se traduce: Ya llega la hora de despedirnos. Manana sabado nos vamos de Australia. De veras que ha sido un experiencia maravillosa! Links to this post. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Despues...

Sr. Maruchi, STJ's Outback Adventures Las Aventuras Australianas de Maruchi, STJ: FUNNY DAY
http://sistermaruchiblog.blogspot.com/2008/07/yesterday-was-httpwww.html
Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Yesterday was a very exciting and full day. We began our work as volunteers helping out in the registration department answering calls and emails. It is quite a lot of work! Most of the day we spent being trained and receiving A LOT of information. At lunch the WYD people told us that they wanted to take some pictures of us so we went to the park to be greated by way too many press people! We are a spectacle here in Sydney! Attached is the link to one of the newspaper articles.

Friday, July 11, 2008. Well today was a very interesting day! Last night we received our volunteer uniforms! It was exciting.they are quite bright which I like. We went to the airport to greet the volunteers that were arriving. There weren't very many volunteers so we just hung around and helped the pilgrims. What an experience! What a small world! Imagine meeting the group from home and then finding out they'll be right next door! The most moving for me was definately my encounter with the Cuban priest&...
