8230;the adventure continues…. You can e-mail me at treb123(at)yahoo.com. Looking forward to hearing from you! December 12, 2010 at 11:46 am. September 16, 2014 at 11:32 pm. A friend of mine asked me if I would like to walk the West Highland Way. I am a 64 yr old lady who loves the outdoors, but have never walked a long distance before. I am in good health. Where can I get the best advice about how to get prepared for walking long distances. February 15, 2015 at 11:44 am. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Any thoughts on the matter – post here and let’s start the ball rolling! I have started a couple of campaigning sites on Flickr (the photo sharing site) and Facebook. Please register your support at either of those two places. I did this walk in the o...

https://fifecoastalwalker.wordpress.com/2009/08/16/carsethorn-to-new-abbey-7-miles
8230;the adventure continues…. Carsethorn to New Abbey. 7 Miles. After yesterday’s long but enjoyable walk I wasnt in any mood to get up early and charge headlong up the road to Dumfries. So I decided to walk to New Abbey which was only about 8 miles up the road. I fortified myself with coffee and scone at the Abbey tearoom and then headed back to the start of the walk at Carsethorn.
