Yehuda Joshua Glick was born in 1965 in Brooklyn, New York, and at the age of 9 emigrated to Israel with his parents and five siblings. When we think of Roman soldiers, we usually think of helmeted, gladiator-looking, sandal-wearing, spear-thrusting conquerors. But it was not always like that. Roman soldiers did not only conquer, pillage, and kill. (Though they certainly did plenty of that.) Sunday, December 6, 2009. Machon Lander course begins.FINALLY! After many hiccups, my tour guiding course at Machon Lander. Is about to begin, this Friday, December 11. I am still hoping to get a ride in from Mazkeret Batya, so I need not sleep in Jerusalem twice a week. The problem? The trips are scheduled to leave from Binyanei ha-Uma at 6:45 every Tuesday, and the earliest bus gets in at 7:15.
