Walking With Jason In Borneo: A Walk With My Two-Year-Old Son

http://walkingwithjasoninborneo.blogspot.com/2007/02/walk-with-my-two-year-old-son.html

Walking With Jason In Borneo. Friday, February 16, 2007. A Walk With My Two-Year-Old Son. We lived in Penang, in a mostly Chinese residential area, in Malaysia. Other than being Jason’s father, I teach creative writing and recently published a collection of short stories set in Malaysia, Lovers and Strangers Revisited. I grabbed some biscuits for the both of us and a spongy orange ball. We didn’t get far; halfway down the stairs, I realized I had left the ball by the door when I unlocked it. Noticing a m...

Walking With Jason In Borneo: A WALK AROUND THE NEW CHURCH AND A BABPTISM

http://walkingwithjasoninborneo.blogspot.com/2007/05/walk-around-new-church-and-babptism.html

Walking With Jason In Borneo. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. A WALK AROUND THE NEW CHURCH AND A BABPTISM. While we waited for the priest to begin the baptism ceremony for three babies, Jason tugged me on the arm. He was restless and that meant he wanted to walk, so I thought a short jaunt around the new church, which had its own walkway would be fine. The new church is adjacent to the old wooden church, which they mostly use for the children for bible classes and playing games. 8220;No,” I told Jason, to...

Walking With Jason In Borneo. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Quop: A Church and a Cemetery. 8220;Oh, wow! 8221; Jason said, his two-year old brown eyes lighting up. Jason stopped and said, “Water.”. There was a tiny stream at the base of the hill, so we paused for a few moments to admire the water. Jason squatted to get a better look. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Nice to find another American in town. I teach around the corner from you, at that other university. We should do lunch sometime!

Food binge) day and a day for people who celebrate it to show off their new furniture, curtains and jewellery (fake and genuine included), compare which household serves the best food, cookies, etc. Every year it's the same morbid story of highway accidents, countless cases of firecracker accidents, robberies, burglaries and ah longs. Of Life, Crap and More Crap! Wednesday, June 07, 2006. I'm a beached whale, no? If a picture says a thousand words, then imagine what all these pictures have to tell. Here are some of the 'sordid' evidence of what I've been up to for the past one week or so of my absence from the blogsphere. I've been around and about in between crashing Hard Disks, blogger's block,. I don't quite fit the cut to be called a 'writer', hence 'writer's block' is simply a form of self-flattery). 1 1/2 cup self rasing flour.

I'm doing this rather hurried entry from a rather dingy internet cafe opposite the hospital I've been admitted to (yeh, snuck out under the very watchful eyes of the otherwise nice nurses and it's not like I'm vegetative or anything). Really helps keep my hormone levels in check. I'm also sitting here trying to make out which key is which as it's nearly impossible to see which key I'm hitting given the lack of light here. Good thing I hung out a lo...

Because it's troublesome and time consuming to wear it. There's also such a thing as colour coordination. Because (some) men are not worth saving our bodies for. Because I am not a nun. Because there's no reason to. Because it really defies the actual purpose of wearing it. Because it creates disparity between people. Because I don't want to.

Monday, January 6, 2014. More from my Hubby. He's on a roll! I just looked at the title of this passage of Revelation and the heading in the NKJV read, “The Lukewarm Church.”. It hit me that it could also say, “The Lukewarm Christian.”. If we are the church and the Lord resides in us. Then this passage is talking to the body of the church and the individual as the walking church. The walking church that is supposed to be the light of the world. A moving church is supposed to be the salt of the earth.
