Wanderling: November 2011
http://wandering-gnome.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Where in the world is Courtney? Over here I have certainly been blessed with a home away from home and family away from family. Here's a post from Pastor Fred and Gloria's blog. Which tells a bit about what I was up to over the holidays and some good thoughts. Links to this post. Today I didn't have school because it's Independence Day in Palestine! Here's a short article that gives some insight into the holiday. Links to this post. Q: Is it making a difference? Is it making a difference to me? This is a...

Wanderling: Ways to Support
http://wandering-gnome.blogspot.com/p/ways-to-support.html
Where in the world is Courtney? There are many ways you can support me during my journey in Jerusalem/West Bank! I thank you in advance for your consideration of how you can contribute to the experience :). 1 Prayer. Do not worry about anything, be in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8765 W. Higgins Road. Chicago, Illinois 60631.

Wanderling: October 2011

Where in the world is Courtney? Please pardon the really lame pun, but it's true! I have finally finished my 30 eggs from two weeks ago! I am currently boiling the remaining eight (two accidentally cracked : to keep for breakfast and lunch tomorrow and the day after. I'm not exactly sure if these last eight eggs will be unspoiled, since I've never had to keep eggs for two weeks, but I'm sure the "expiration date" phenomena is more of a commercial ploy than a fact (! With love from Palestine,. Needless to...

Wanderling: Home in New York
http://wandering-gnome.blogspot.com/2012/07/home-in-new-york.html
Where in the world is Courtney? Home in New York. Today begins my second day at home. My flight home was fairly uneventful, albeit a little long, and I think I may have finally kicked my jetlag (my "nap" at 5pm yesterday lasted.13 hours). I'm up and about at 6am, which is a good three hours earlier than I'd like, but it could be worse! I'm not too worried about adjusting to a normal sleep pattern here yet because in four days I leave with my sister and her family to go to Ireland for a week! Luv Is A Verb.

Where in the world is Courtney? I saw the following on a poster at the ELCA Churchwide offices and loved it. I hope it speaks to you as much as it has to me. I feel as if it explains a bit about what I feel called and empowered to do with my life in some capacity. Links to this post. Passover Remembered" by Alla Bozarth-Campbell. Bring only your determination to serve. And your willingness to be free. Don't wait for the bread to rise. Take nourishment for the journey, but eat standing. Set out in the dark.

Wanderling: May 2012

Where in the world is Courtney? One of my best friends, Liz, and I have the same feelings about friends: we love it when they can come together and meet one another. We are happiest when we can gather all of those we love in one place for a time of friendship, food, and laughter. There have been so many times during the past nine months (what? Where has the time gone? That I have thought, "How I wish so-and-so were here to experience this with me! Which basically means "You are welcome". People would...
