Wednesday, 14 December 2016. FROM MOONLIGHT TO SUNLIGHT! My early morning walk today took me from a large full moon to the sun! It was still dark enough when I started for the Christmas lights and decorations to show up. It was dry, but muddy underfoot, especially along the bridleway and footpaths I was on. Friday, 4 September 2015. Helen and I had lots to talk about today, so not much walk wise, but a healthy trott and lots of laughter - it has got to be good for you! Flowers still blooming in Town Street! Effect has reached Sue Ryder! They are asking volunteers to help with the up cycling of goods - see samples in their window - in their efforts to raise more money. It is that vintage look again! Monday, 5 December 2016. IT IS NOW OFFICIALLY WINTER! Today, I had to get up early to take my car in for service. I wore my walking boots and warm clothes so I could go home the long way round, and make it into a proper walk, as my walking companions can't join me at the moment. Wednesday, 9 September 2015. BOWLED OVER BY OLD BOWLISH HOUSE! On our walks we have often passed and admired Old Bowlish House, at Bowlish, Shepton, with its beautiful symmetrical Georgian facade. After spotting a poster on the front, I contacted a website called 'Invitation to View'. And booked a tour with a cream tea! Monday, 7 September 2015. WALK BY THE BOOK! Today we had a plan! We followed a walk in a booklet that I bought at the Tourist Information Centre published by the Town Council entitled 'Walks Around Shepton Mallet'. It became our longest walk ever - three and a half hours! It took us to Bowlish, Windsor Hill Wood, Windsor Hill Tunnels. Thursday, 29 December 2016. Christmas is now well and truly over! I hope everybody who reads this had a good time. I unfortunately didn't! I woke up on Christmas Eve with some sort of infection - I won't bore you with all the symptoms, but I felt awful and completely lost my appetite, so I hardly ate anything for days.
