You see, I learned through Clay’s accident just how short life can be. So I took the advice from the movie, Shawshank Redemption, and “got busy living”. Every child in America should be able to safely WALK TO SCHOOL. Children who are not able to walk should be able to safely ride an electric wheelchair to school. It is pure insanity that drives the school bus infrastructure that is wasting millions of tax dollars that line the pockets of the bus manufacturers and the gasoline industry rather than be used for education. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE NEGATIVES OF BUSING? Buses pollute the air, contributing to the thousands of deaths from respiratory illnesses.

VicHealth’s Walk to School month is a free, easy and fun way for kids to get active this October. Victorian primary students are encouraged to walk, ride or scoot to and from school to kick-start healthy walking habits that can lead to good health for life.
