The Parade starts at 6:00pm and ends with the first lighting and opening of the Walkway of Lights. Bring a toy and place it in the Highland Lakes Christmas is for kids float. AS A GREETER, YOU WILL MEET AND GREET WALKWAY VISITORS AS THEY COME IN THE GATES. YOU WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR GATHERING INFORMATION SUCH AS HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN EACH PARTY, WHERE THEY ARE FROM, AND IF THEY ARE STAYING IN A LOCAL HOTEL. THE GREETER SCHEDULE IS BROKEN DOWN INTO TWO SHIFTS, 6:00-800PM AND 8:00-10:00PM, EACH NIGHT. WE HAVE AN AVERAGE OF 500 GUESTS PER NIGHT DURING THE WEEK. THE WEEKEND IS A TAD BUSIER, ALONG WITH HOLIDAYS, WITH AN AVERAGE OF 1,400 GUESTS PER NIGHT.

WHAT IS WALKWAY OF LIGHTS? The Walkway of Lights is free to the public, but donations are greatly appreciated. The Walkway is maintained through the generosity of sponsors and the donations of guests. The Walkway of Lights is open nightly, 6:00-10:00pm, from November 20th to January 3rd. In the past 3 years, an average of 45,000 guests per year visited the Walkway of Lights. In 2014, guests came from 49 states and 37 countries. Over 250 volunteers help with greeting at the Walkway of Lights.
