Saturday, June 30, 2007. Home day for all. Yes, we all stayed home today. Yesterday Caitlin came down sick and feverish and wasn't feeling any better this morning. In fact, little Midge seemed a bit sniffley too. So I stayed home to keep everyone rested. Of course I was feeling a bit under the weather also. It has been a quiet day at the homestead. Since the little one seemed a bit on the low side, I was sure to dress her up cozy. Of course, that means the jeans again and her fancy red handmade socks!

Monday, August 20, 2007. I'm going to chime in here, just because I don't want people to think we aren't crazy about our little dog - we are! I think we need to be more realistic about what's good for us all. With Mabel's gone now and Vermont becoming more of a possibility everyday, the picture becomes more clear to me each minute. Thursday, March 22, 2007. How ready can we be? How can so much go on, yet nothing seem to be happening? Well, we did have another midwife visit today. She went and moved our due date back to our original date. Five days farther out! I know it doesn't sound like much, but we'd been thinking that our little darling would maybe show up a bit early, any day now. The blog of getting gone from Oregon. A not so permanent vacation after all. On the positive side, this is the step that I needed to really feel that I have moved. To actually have to deal with getting to work and getting established should help do away with the peaceful, easy feeling of no time constraints or responsibilties I've had this last month. It's made the move feel somewhat unreal and I'm ready to get grounded in this new reality. Lows 10 to 16 below. Highs 0 to 5 below, lows 15 to 25 below zero.

Thursday, May 18, 2006. Holy Crap. I just spent the last two days reading Flowers in the Attic. I swear I read this when I was in 8th grade, but I didn't remeber it AT ALL. The blog of getting gone from Oregon. Today marks Caitlin's first day at work! As she is working in Montpelier (about 40 miles east) and she has to be at work at 7:30, we are starting a few new ways today. Monday through Thursday I will (for the time being at least) be getting a ride to work from the in-law's who will then be watching Elinor from 7:30 until 5:30. Today is also the first day that Elinor has worn Chuck Taylor's! There are so many good ones in Montpelier. And hey.where are you working?
