The Bard's Bend: September 2011
http://eberhardkatie232.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. ReadySet.Compare and Contrast! So I mentioned earlier in one of my posts. That I am reading one of my favorite books again, which happens to be a retelling of Hamlet. So now that we are finished reading Hamlet and I am reaching climatic parts in my journey, that I start doing a comparison. (I'm actually quite excited about it, and don't worry it'll only be a few posts.). Edgar is a mute! The King/Hamlet Senior = Gar. Gar's brother. They have a rocky past but neither of the...

Saturday, December 10, 2011. Shakespeare, you have been engaged! When I woke up yesterday morning, I must admit I was a little stressed out. Amy hadn't made it to class and I hadn't received the recordings of the book to send on to J.J. and Austin. BUT when I got on my computer lo and behold, there was an email with the recordings! So I quickly downloaded them and then proceeded to piece them together using Windows Movie Maker. While that was saving I went online and looked at LibriVox. I was super impre...

Friday, September 16, 2011. Your actions are my dreams/You had a bastard by Polexines. He let his dream toy with him, just as sometimes ours toy with us. The real challenge then seems to be to try to find a dream that we can catch hold of and toy with, but not let it determine our lives. September 15, 2011 at 10:59 PM. Designing Shakespeare: The Reply
http://maureraustin232.blogspot.com/2011/11/reply.html
15 November, 2011. A couple of weeks ago, I posted about an email. That I sent to Stephan Thiel about visualizing Shakespeare and the arts. I recently received his reply. Here are his answers to my questions. What do you see as the specific benefits of such visualization? In what ways does this sort of thing provide a new understanding of the music or literature being visualized? So whats the benefit of another layer of abstraction (and its representation/communication through visualization)? Do you thin...

12 December, 2011. As the semester ends, we have been asked by our Shakespeare professor to reflect upon our end of semester activities, our Engaging Shakespeare event. This post will serve as those reflections for me. A few weeks ago, I wrote a post detailing my observations about Reality and Illusion in Shakespeares works. I hadnt yet finished King Lear. 160;at the time, so I am now taking the opportunity to look at the same theme in that play. King Lear' Continue reading. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
