The Seaside | wanderaboot

Not all those who wander are lost – J. R. R. Tolkien. Tessie and The Britishisms. I had to show Tessie the English seaside whilst she was here so a trip to the North Norfolk coast was called and off we went. Me, Tessie, Ma, Pa and Lola all packed into a car with our sails set for Sheringham! Our usual haunt (we’re all ghosts) is Wells-next-the-Sea but a family friend has a flat just down the road in Sheringham and who are we to turn down that kind of connection? A little too quaint…. Look at this place!

Not all those who wander are lost – J. R. R. Tolkien. Tessie and The Britishisms. Well that time had come around again and my 3-month visa-alarm was buzzing so we had to get across some borders pretty sharpish. After perusing the available flights out of Busan we settled on a reasonably priced, yet maddeningly scheduled, trip to Tokyo! Japan was the solid leader by default. Not that we minded that. WE WERE GOING TO TOKYO! The mascot is clearly a man- check those arms! The Great Hovering Fuji. Anywhoooo t...

Toronto Adventure: Campbell House Museum | laura makes pictures

https://lauramakespictures.wordpress.com/2012/08/21/toronto-adventure-campbell-house-museum

Toronto Adventure: Campbell House Museum. Posted on August 21, 2012. Back in May, I had my first experience with Doors Open Toronto. I got up too late to really make a day of it on the Saturday, so I waited until Sunday to cram in as many sites as possible. So, almost impromptu. I try. First stop was Campbell House Museum. The gist: complete with creaky floors, a smoky smelling basement, crown moulding in every room, a pretty grand staircase, and some ye olde. Put a bird on it. The one thing I did learn!

Toronto Adventure: The Island. Posted on November 13, 2012. What a busy bee I have been. Now that the time has done the annual fall back until the spring, it’s basically dark when I get up for work and dark when I leave for home. Brilliant and by that I mean sadface. I miss the sun. Luckily, I still haven’t posted my photos from one of the most perfect summer days I’ve experienced. I was waiting to finish up with my. Special thanks to Miss Tess Marie of Wanderaboot. Craig took the photo of me on the pier...
