Friday, August 16, 2013. In the evening we had dinner and more swimming in the marina with lots of people from both Paul's and Nat's families. Things to remember. the wind in our hair on a speedy boat, hanging out with good company, breaking the boat twice (oops, Steve and Brendan each to blame! Though Steve says the captain of the ship holds ultimate responsibility for the actions of his crew :) ) boys playing a board game and colouring with new found friends and an awesome little pool. Sunday, July 27, 2014. A nice thing about Ottawa is the proximity of city beaches. This morning, the kids and I hit Britannia Beach so Siobhan could have some kid-free time to get the house ready for a viewing. Wednesday, April 3, 2013. It's baby month, and I hope time neither drags nor speeds up, so I'll just mention it this once! I've been pottering about tidying up, sorting things like linen cupboards and winter clothes, counting nappies, welcoming in and finding homes for loaned and gifted baby "things" and, perhaps most enjoyable, crocheting baby longies, my first proper attempt at a garment rather than just a decorative bit of crochet. Saturday, July 26, 2014. Shenanigans in the back yard. I was asked not to look for a while. I snuck a peek and snapped a picture of the three of them working together on something. These moments when the boys are collaborating beautifully and Araliya is watching and absorbing and learning and her big brothers are including her, well, they just make me pause for a second to smile and take it in (and then occasionally I rush for my camera! I was soon handed a map and used it to find my very own treasure!
