One unemployed spring, I spent an early morning photographing cyclists wheeling their way to work through London Fields in East London. Most didn’t seem to mind that I was crouched with a tripod in the middle of the cycle path. I didn’t get knocked over … that would’ve been an occupational hazard. 6 thoughts on “ Cycle ways. Would they be there, would this drive deliver the outcome that I wanted, would I see what I was looking for, had my memory from last year grown bigger than the reality? 10 minutes down the road I turned off and headed along a back track towards my destination. Who is the Magpie? The Eye of a Thieving Magpie. My birdseye view of this crazy life – in words and pictures. Who is that up there? July 10, 2016. I try to identify large birds in flight. Osprey have a kink in their wings, a vulture soars with wings in a “V” while the Great Blue Heron is easy to spot with its long legs hanging behind them.
